Dear Mom, Love Cher provides a rare peek into Cher\u2019s family
\nhistory and features interviews with not only with Holt and Cher, but
\nalso Cher\u2019s sister Georganne LaPiere Bartylak, and Holt\u2019s grandchildren
\nChaz Bono and Elijah Blue Allman, promises Lifetime.<\/em><\/p>\n

The documentary begins with Holt\u2019s beginnings in rural Arkansas and
\nruns through her six tumultuous marriages while pursuing a career among
\nHollywood\u2019s elite as a singer and actress.<\/em><\/p>\n

Dear Mom, Love Cher includes a never-before-heard duet
\nperformance with Holt and Cher, along with the long-lost recordings Holt
\ntaped more than three decades ago that Cher has re-mastered for
\ncommercial release later this year.<\/em><\/p>\n

\u201cThis project started as a gift for my mom\u2019s 86th birthday,\u201d says
\nCher, 66, in the release, adding: \u201cLike most things in my family, it was
\ninitiated by my sister Georganne, who asked me if I could update mom\u2019s
\nalbum. So I went BIG (I\u2019m known in the family for doing that),\u201d said
\nCher. \u201cMy sister and I are proud of our mom and we want to share her
\nwith the world. My mom is EXACTLY like \u2018Rocky.\u2019 She NEVER gives up!
\nWell\u2026if we must nit-pick, they aren\u2019t totally alike. Rocky is a
\nfictitious boxer and mom\u2019s a singer. He\u2019s younger and a man. Other than
\nthat they are the same person! FIGHTERS.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n
