That was fun!<\/p>\n<p>The bad thing about Christmas albums is that they have a short shelf life for hits and appearances. They end abruptly at the end of the year.<\/p>\n<p>So anyway, where were we?<\/p>\n<p>We were cataloging <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cherscholar.com\/tv\/\">Cher&#8217;s TV appearances<\/a> that&#8217;s where we were, specifically the TV and concert specials.<\/p>\n<p>I&#8217;ve been looking forward to doing the early 1980s specials,\u00a0<em>Cher in Concert<\/em> from Monte Carlo (1981) and <em>Celebration at Caesars <\/em>(1983)<em>. <\/em>They are so under-appreciated and yet so unobtrusively crucial in the\u00a0 timeline of Cher&#8217;s slow transformation into becoming a rock singer by the mid-to-late 1980s.<\/p>\n<p>The shows were so important, I kind of procrastinated starting these summaries. I had pages and pages of notes!<\/p>\n<p>Here we go with the rougher but still deliciously ambitious <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cherscholar.com\/cher-in-concert\/\">Monte Carlo show<\/a>!<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>So the Christmas album, huh?
